My name is Tamari, I'm 24 years old, I flew through
Dream Factory Travel for USA cross country trip, I chose to do it alone, because until then I hadn't really embarked on a journey of complete self-discovery..
I wanted to go to the farthest place, maybe not the most expensive and be able to be alone. I knew I am very independent and social and that I can manage.
I started from Hawaii, I was on the island of Oahu in which the capital city of Honolulu is located.
Honolulu has a plot of beach in Waikiki. I felt that for me it was the easiest island to get around in terms of public transportation, buses everywhere, I even drove two hours within the island itself, it's a very large island, lots of hiking trails you can do that require a car, including botanical gardens.
What was very surprising that I learned about Hawaii is that it is very influenced by Chinese culture, a lot of Chinese tourists, which greatly affects the food, the Waikiki beach is considered the Chinese square - where I stayed.
I felt very safe, as a woman walking around there alone.
It gets dark early in the winter and I felt very safe in the area where I was - at the Waikiki Malia Hotel, attached a link: https://bit.ly/3S7YRrD
The hotel was really High level for 3 stars, very clean rooms, jacuzzi, close to the beach in the center of things, close to restaurants, clothing stores, close to public transportation. the room was relatively large and very nicely decorated, there are no meals in the hotel, but they have ice cream and flower necklaces happening every Friday, the staff was Very friendly and there is always a guard outside. the reception is open 24/7 I got a lot for the price.
I recommend going to Kualoa Ranch where they shot many movies like Jurassic Park and adventure movies, horse tours/all-terrain jeeps, I've made jeep safari there, it cost me about 50$ and it was a tour with a guide who really drives us through the nature reserve, there was a section in the middle that we walked and it was definitely the experience I enjoyed the most.
In Hawaii there are many options for a cruise in price range.
I personally went on a one hour cruise
